Ying Yang

So everything exists because of contrast. I cant see the light unless it was darkness around it. I can't appreciate the pleasure unless there is pain. So does that mean, that a still world cannot exist? If there is no contrast against nothing, up/down, hot/cold, is there anything at all there? Why so ? Why not?
